Water Fountain Rest

Whether alone or shared, sitting by a fountain can bring a sense of peace in a hectic environment. Like a waterfall the sound of moving water can be very calming.

This was taken last year in the Eatons Centre –  Toronto, Ontario

  1. That man in the bottom right corner…is the masterstroke of this image. He’s the full stop, he changes the image from a geometric one to a human interest shot. Very well cropped, or if this is the full frame then you saw exactly what was needed when you shot this. I love it.

  2. Thanks Andy! Yes I intentionally included him in the bottom corner. He looks like he is in line waiting for a turn to sit by the fountain. If you look closely though you will see he is a mannequin.

  3. Nice, Neil.

Toronto Eaton’s, Mississauga Square One and Limeridge are the only malls I’ve shot in and didn’t get questioned in or kicked out of by security.

    • I didn’t even think about security questioning what I was doing! I will keep that in mind next time.
