GM Headquarters
I took this shot last summer while sailing up the St. Clair River. Well to be honest not this exact image. A little digital darkroom work turned it into a reflection on the water shot. In real life you would have a hard time getting this shot because of the boat traffic not allowing the water to be still.
I was inspired by a post by Jimmy McIntyre. Here is a link to his image. http://www.throughstrangelenses.com/2014/03/12/busan-city-skyline/
Below is the original straight out of the camera.
Exceptional, Neil. I’m wondering if, with plenty of setup time and the right equipment, you’d be able to pull of a real reflection from through a very long daytime exposure.

Thanks! A long exposure would sertinaly smooth out the water but I’m not sure you would get the reflection.

Hi Neil – interesting and striking image. Did you download his tutorial?

I have downloaded his tutorials but have not had a lot of time to go through them all. I did read his tutorial on creating images like this after I did it and I did it pretty much the same way. Jimmy’s work is fantastic and it is wonderful how much he shares of his techniques.
