Dundas St. United Church – Woodstock Ontario

Today we attended the funeral of my wife’s Aunt. It was a beautiful service in a beautiful old church. Before we left I took a few moments to take this picture of the sanctuary from the balcony.

    • Yes it is unique but it is not the only one. I have been in several other United Churches in Ontario that have the same style of balcony. Always beautiful to see!

      • There is one of these churches in Victoria, now the Alix Goolden Hall and part of the Music Conservatory. Same layout, same structure, very similar balcony grill. I have seen other examples on the internet from time to time. Pretty good acoustics too.

  3. What a warm welcoming feeling I get from this image – the sensation of being wrapped in the arms of the balcony’s curves.
