This past summer I had the pleasure of visiting Spirit Island on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park – Alberta. Accessible only by boat it is one of the most photographed locations in the Canadian Rockies.
I was lucky enough to be set up for this shot when a deer wandered out to the Island. Click the image to see it bigger.

Spirit Island is the stand-out memory of my fly-drive trip to BC about twenty years ago. A stunning and unique place. What a bonus to have a Deer in the frame. Beautiful image.
