Dirty Shorts
In August of 2016 we stopped to get a few shoots of the famous “Dirty Shorts” grain elevator in Tofield Alberta Canada. The word Dirty is still visible on the west side of the elevator but sadly the Shorts have faded quite a bit.
This description can be found on the Roadside America.com website:
The elevator was originally called “Shonts,” a one-house location lived in by the elevator agent. One Halloween some local boys changed the name to “shorts.” Several years later some younger boys were more daring and managed to paint the word “dirty” above the word “shorts.”
I have this information from personal experience! The elevator is owned by a local farmer.

What a fun story to go with great old elevator.
Snowy Forest
I love walking through a forest with freshly fallen snow. The snow absorbs the sound making it so quiet and peaceful.
