Conestogo Heron

On Sunday I went for a bike ride down the trail along the Conestogo River south of St. Jacobs and came across this guy standing watch on the other side of the river. They are usually pretty skittish and fly away at the first sight of a human but he was content to stay put while I took his portrait.

Gore Park Heritage Bandstand

Gore Park Band Shell Elmira

The Bandstand in Gore Park, Elmira Ont. was originally built in 1912 by A.M. Bowman.
It replaced the original band shell that was built in the late 1800’s

Woolwich Community Lion’s Club supported the latest restoration of this Woolwich Township Heritage building in 2012. More historical information can be found in this article http://observerxtra.com/2/featured/and-the-band-played-on/

I took this photo a few years ago and republish it now with some PhotoArtistry added.

Canada 150 Fireworks
