July 1st Canadian’s are celebrating Canada’s 150 years of Confederation. Fireworks are always part of the celebrations so I made my way down to Columbia Lake in Waterloo Ont. for the big show. For 20 minutes the sky was alive with the explosions, pops and sizzles. Here are a few shots I captured.
The weather is perfect here in Wiarton on Colpoy’s Bay. We are spending the weekend here relaxing and taking photo’s.
The Village of Wiarton, home of the famous Wiarton Willie groundhog, had another impressive display of fireworks this Canada Day weekend. I set up across the bay, applied my bug repellent and waited for the show. The fireworks lasted about 15 min with a good variety that was enjoyed by all I’m sure. An added bonus this year was that an almost full moon acted as a backdrop to the show.
Happy Canada Day everyone! This photo was taken on Colpoys Bay a few years ago. Since I’m not at home I’m using pictures I have uploaded to my Google Photo account and edited with their online effects. Basically I just used the B&W focal tool and left the flag in colour and the rest black and white. Hope to get some fireworks pictures tonight to post soon.
