Today it snowed almost all day. Schools, Colleges, and Universities were shut down. Driving was a challenge. As I went through some of the pictures I took this summer I came across a pretty generic shot of a daisy. It was a nice reminder of summer but not all that interesting being it was just centred in the frame. In addition to cropping I also applied an oil painting effect with a free program I just discovered called Fotosketcher. Now – at least to my eye it is a bit more interesting. I do enjoy post processing!
Another beautiful long weekend for taking pictures. There are still lots of fall flowers blooming and this is one shot I thought turned out pretty good. Just did a little adjustment in Lightroom. This is also a good example of why you should take you camera of automatic or program mode. I shoot a lot of my shots in Aperture priority so I can control the depth of field. In this case to get the background out of focus.
This pretty flower is on a plant about 6 ft. (2 meters) tall but the flower is only about 4″ (10 cm) across. It looks a bit like a miniature sunflower but also like a daisy. Anyone know what it is?
