This past summer I had the pleasure of visiting Spirit Island on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park – Alberta. Accessible only by boat it is one of the most photographed locations in the Canadian Rockies.
I was lucky enough to be set up for this shot when a deer wandered out to the Island. Click the image to see it bigger.

Pyramid Mountain is just north of Jasper Alberta. We went to explore it early one morning and the elk were walking along the edge of Pyramid Lake.
