I grabbed a shot of this guy in the subway in New York.
I used the Photoshop Fractalius plug in filter and then the oil paint filter to create the effect.

Numus @ the Button Factory

Numus @ the Button Factory

Numus @ the Button Factory

After the Uptown Waterloo Once Around The Block tour we had the privilege of experiencing Numus (New Music Now) in the Button Factory Studio. As quoted from their web site “NUMUS invites audiences to explore the bold sounds and ideas of a new generation of composers and performers while celebrating the innovators of the past.” For the day they called themselves The Button Factory Band. They were all excellent musicians and the compositions where playful, interesting, complicated, and artistic. It was a joy to watch and listen to them paint with sound. While taking these pictures I was more or less stuck in one spot and I feed off their creativity to come up with shots that focused on the interaction of their hands and the instruments.
