I Can’t Remember – but they can

Rememberance

Remembrance

We have to leave. The Germans are going to blow the dike!

The area in Holland that my father’s family lived in was about to be flooded and they had to leave. Pack all you can and get out. I can’t imagine what that would be like.

I have no personal experience/memory of war. But I know people who do. They know personally those who did not live through it.

Let’s Not Forget What They Remember.

November 11th – Remembrance Day here in Canada. We give thanks for this great country and Remember all who sacrificed to keep it that way. My parents are from the Netherlands and the people of Holland are forever grateful for the roll Canada played in their Liberation.

This picture was taken Last year in Wiarton Ontario
