Slowly the weather is starting to warm up here in St. Jacobs. These apple blossoms were taken in May of last year.

So Spring is officially here but so is the snow. Thankfully it is not melting so fast as to cause flooding and the occasional flurry makes us wonder if we’ll ever see the new life spring brings. I took this shot last spring and post is today as reminder of what is to come!

Spring’s Coming

There is still a fair amount of snow here but I am going to declare that spring is coming! This weekend the clocks go ahead 1 hour and the days are getting longer and the temperatures are slowly getting warmer. YEAH!

Hawkesville Spring Sunset

I met up with a couple of friends yesterday evening for a little photo walk. We met in the village of Hawkesville and were able to go down the the river and catch a brief sunset. I think normally this time of year this area would be under water with spring run off but with the lack of snow the river is not very high.

This is a three exposure HDR processed in Photomatix, Photoshop, Topaz filter and Imagenomic noise reduction.
