Farm Sunset
I finally got out shooting today. Went for a walk along the tail between St. Jacobs and Conestogo. The afternoon started out rather grey but ended up with a beautiful sunset.
Home Is Where The Heart Is
Here is an other shot from my Saturday morning walk. The snow piled on top of this bird house reminded me of a ski chalet and the heart reminded me of the old saying Home is Where the Heart is.
This is a 3 exposure HDR with a paint filter in PS6
Double Take
Here is another shot from my Saturday morning walk in the new snow. The trees at the end of this path in the new snow caught my eye with the snow clinging to the branches creating contrast with each other. It’s always tough shooting in the bush without it looking like a bunch of sticks! So here are two takes on the same image. One is pretty much how I framed it in the camera and the B&W is an alternate crop. So – Which do you prefer?
This is a 3 exposure HDR processed with Photomatix and Lightroom.
Winter Shadows
We had a significant amount of snow in the past 24 hours and this morning the sun was shinning creating beautiful long shadows on the newly fallen snow. It was great to get out in the fresh air but walking through the deep snow reminded me how out of shape my legs are.
Red Berry Vine
I like the way these berries hang around all winter giving a splash of colour and food for the birds. This picture does not have much post processing done to it. It was shot in RAW and developed in Lightroom with a little cropping and the usual adjustments. Tomorrow I will will add some effects to it. Maybe a texture layer and some filtering and you can let me know which you like best!
