This was taken last August along the Columbia Icefields Parkway in the Canadian Rockies.
One thing that surprised me was how windy it was at this location. The temperature difference between the glacier ice and the surrounding area created a wind that made it hard to keep my hat on!

This past summer I had the pleasure of visiting Spirit Island on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park – Alberta. Accessible only by boat it is one of the most photographed locations in the Canadian Rockies.
I was lucky enough to be set up for this shot when a deer wandered out to the Island. Click the image to see it bigger.
